Car is consuming excessive amounts of oil. A quart every 200 miles or so. Also even after doing an oil change the car is not leaking the oil but burning it. Please enforce The National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act (originally enacted in 1966 and now recodified as 49 U.S.C. Chapter 301). Contacted lexus but the car is out of warranty. The car is burning too much oil leading to more pollutants.

Car wouldn-??t start. Had it diagnosed and found out my fuel pressure sensor had melted and was leaking fuel had it replaced bug still smell gas in and around car. Car was under recalm for same issue years back and was serviced at the dealership. So I don-??t see how im liable for repairs if it was a problem when the car came off the assembly line

I purchased my vehicle (used) in 2014. I have experienced a rebuilt transmission ($4200), new alternator and now I'm currently experience oil consumption. My car is burning oil at-at-a rapid pace. I have replaced my oil two times in two months. My mechanic has informed me that it's the engine (manufacturer issue) and it is due to carbon build up due to a standard for this make, model and year. It's burning alot of oil that is causing the build up in the engine. It was advised that I should replace the engine (who can afford that) or have it rebuilt. If this a manufacturer defect it is not the responsibility of the owner. This is my only vehicle and I'm a mother of two young children. It's very unsafe for me to drive and is jerking; while I drive. I just topped off my oil again this weekend; due to the oil light coming on. I only have 146,461 miles on the vehicle. That's very low for a 13-year old car. This is my second Lexus and it's very troubling to not only read this common problem for this year, and model car. Lexus are usually reliable vehicles.

While bringing the car to a stop, I am experiencing a very hard downshift from 2nd gear to 1st gear. This hard downshift is so abrupt that it feels as if you were rear ended. Research shows this being an electronic failure in the electronic control module backed with hundreds of complaints of this exact issue to this particular year, make and model. In several cases, mentions of a class action lawsuit against Toyota/Lexus have been mentioned. It's a costly, yet unnecessary repair caused by a flawed design within the electronic componentry.. considering the reoccurrence of this issue on a mass scale, it may be one best addressed via recall.

I received a recall a few years ago pertaining to the engine leaking oil. The car leaks 4 quarts of full synthetic oil monthly. How do I go about getting my vehicle fixed? I would like to take it to Lexus mcgrath in Chicago to have them repair my engine. Thank you.

My Lexus 2006 GS300 has misfire problem at 108355 miles, with error codes PS300, 301, and 302. Spoke with dealership (longo Lexus), and they told me the customer satisfactory program (csp) is already expired to free repair by Lexus in 2016. If Lexus has defective valve spring that caused the carbon build up, then they should send us the safety recall letter, and I have never received any. That's very irresponsible in their part.

I have problem with my Lexus GS300 129000 miles, engine run roughly at idle and it burns oil like crazy, every 1000 miles I add about 2.5 Q of oil. Looks like its carbon build-up issue on interior valves and components, I'm scared vehicle can stall. Dealer don't want to do anything about that because it's out of warranty already. Please help.

I took my car into the dealer twice for the oil consumption issues during the period they offered it. I was turned away both times and only after the "repair period" ended was I informed that there was one to begin with. I've read about multiple people having the recall performed who had the same problem as me. My care now needs two to three quarts of oil per month and I was screwed out of my repair. Now we have the airbag light. I've read quite a few things online about temporarily repairing this airbag harness myself but thats not a solution to the actual problem. My children are in this vehicle daily and not having a fully functional airbag system is not at all safe.

When I go to apply the brakes or of I'm coasting slow, the car jerks twice(once while the car is slowing down, and a harder jerk right before the car stops) every Lexus forum I visited where people had 2006 Lexus GS300 AWD's(with the same exact symptoms), they were mis-diagnosed being told it was their transmission, when in actuality it was their ECU that needed to be replaced. That is a computer failure, so I don't understand why there aren't recalls on this.

Excessive oil consumption. Vehicle burns 3 1/2 qts of oil or more every 1500 miles. Causing my plugs to foul out and check engine code (0300) multiple cylinder misfire causing car to have sluggish acceleration. I took car in to charles barker Lexus and was charged a diag fee and then told the car is burning oil internally and would be $4100 plus parts for further diag. Lexus offered a customer support program for stated issues for 9 years w/ no mileage limitations of which I was never informed of and was within time frame to qualify. At the time I was unaware of the program and now Lexus is telling me my VIN # does not fall under that program and my vehicle is experiencing all of the identical issues. Also transmission solenoid failed causing hard jolt when slowing down before stopping. Fixed solenoid only to then have to replace cars computer. The transmission repair mechanic informed me of the ongoing problems with Lexus transmissions and computer failure for the 2006 gs 300 as well as a class action law suite that was filed because of the same issues excessive oil consumption. I have since contacted Lexus informing them of my issues and they decline to address my issues telling me that my vehicle VIN # does not fall under any recalls. I have spent over $2000 replacing the transmission solenoid and I had the cars computer rebuilt vs spending the additional money to replace it. Lexus denies the issues stated that is well documented on the forums pages and refuses to refund me for monies spent as well as refuses to address excessive oil consumption issues when they just settled a class action lawsuit for the same issues stated and offered a customer support program to pay for the cost of repairs for a period of 9 yrs with no mileage limitations. I have documentation for my repairs and looking for assistance in what action I need to take for this matter.

Takata recall...my 2006 Lexus GS300 has 131,467 miles & is excessively consuming oil. I was told by Lexus that they want to do a diagnostic tests for $2300 to take the engine apart. This problem started last year and is worse now. The low engine oil light comes on after only approximately 2,000 miles. I had the oil topped off & went back in 1,000 miles & there was hardly any oil on the dipstick. On the Lexus forum, this seems to be a common problem with the 2006 GS300 and Lexus needs to take responsibility for issues happening with their vehicles. If the engine were to fail while driving this could be detrimental. There was supposedly a letter about old consumption sent out, but they never contacted me with a letter or at the dealership.

Took my wife's car to jiffy lube in kent wa 98032 and the for got to put oil in the engine so we contacted the jiffy lube Corp..and they came out did the walk around inspection did and took pictures. That's all. Well my rings in the engine are blown because of no oil. So we took the car back to the jl and the worker said if we had any problems they jiffy lube would take care of any problems...so I do have the denial letter.
