The GPS has very minimal maps for Canada. I mentioned this to the Lexus rep at the car show in Toronto shortly after buying the car. He suggested that the lexus was built for people in california so they did not bother purchasing good maps for Canada. I then asked my local Lexus dealer for a solution. He suggested I buy an updated data disc for approx. $350. I asked if it could navigate in Sarnia ON. He did not know. I then asked if I could bring it back if it did not have the maps for Sarnia. He said I could not. Does the term "pig in a poke" or "catch22" come to mind? Needless to say I used my window mounted GPS for navigation. Many people ask why I have two GPS units in my car. The look of shock and disbelief is priceless when I explain it to them. They just cannot believe any company could be so distainfull of it's own reputation to produce something like that and then rub it in the face of their customers. It is a good story and I enjoy telling it. It almost makes up for the inconvenience.
