Rear view failure to hold up it has dark spots and scratches inside of the mirror causing lack of visibility. I have not been in any accidents and do not want to be. I've reported this to Lexus and they have done nothing to correct or replace deteriorating mirror.

Passenger and driver rear view mirrors fail to come back to level position after backing up. The occurrence is random, so it become a hazard as you might think it has leveled but it actually has not. It many cases I've trying to change lanes in the highway only to realize that in the last second of decision I cannot see anything because the mirror is pointing down. Dealer says they cannot reproduce the problem but acknowledge defects on the mechanism. Passenger side was replaced before warranty expired. However it has already broken again along with the driver side.
