The defect has been identified for over two years. However, takata and Lexus have failed to produce a correction. I have a 2014 Acura rdx with a takata air bag issue as well, it has been corrected. The delay on the Lexus is unacceptable.

Passenger occupancy sensor error code was detected and now airbag light is turned on the dashboard. I took it to the dealership and called the corporate office to help pay for it and they denied the request. The dealer is charging $1800 for the part and $800 for labor. I just got my transmission rebuilt and now dealing with airbag issue. There's been a recall for another air bag issue on the passenger side which the corporate took care of this they will not help with the occupancy sensor not working. Please assist us on how they expect the consumers to pay such a price to drive with working airbag. I believe there's been many ES350 2007 model that's been affected by this same problem and I strongly feel it should be part of the recall.

Got a notice from Lexus about the safety recall however I called the local dealer longo Lexus more than 4 months ago informing them that I had read about the recall and wanted to bring my vehicle in. I was informed that I could not bring it in at that time but to not let anyone sit in the passenger seat until the problem was fixed. More than 4 months have passed and I am just now getting the notice and scheduled an appointment. My air ban warning light has been on for more than 3 months and it has been extremely inconvenient for me and my family to go somewhere and no one except the driver can sit in the passenger or front seat. I called longo Lexus for an appointment and they set it up for May 24, 2017 at 9:00 a.M. however in the response email that was sent by the longo representative she added several additional services that she said that I requested when the only service I requested was the replacement of the dangerous and faulty air bag(s). She also sent me a bogus email address as well as the notification letter sending out bogus website. The website referenced in the letter was www.safercar.gov. however when I tried to access this site on my computer a message came back that there was no such site. This service needs to be expedited because of what my family and I have had to go through. Don't you agree? below the question is asked when did this happen. I got the letter today and I called longo Lexus today. This is a recall not an accident. However I tried to get longo to do something for me months ago.

"takata recall" notified almost a year ago about recall and advised not to ride anyone in the front passenger seat. Has checked with the dealership on 2 occasions to check on getting airbag replaced. Told that replacements were still not available. Now we are being told that this could take several years to resolve. How long are we expected to deal with this?

"takata recall" receive notice of recall for airbag inflator defect on passenger side of vehicle about 8 or 10 months ago. Still waiting for replacement part and it's exceeding way beyond time is should have be remedied. Received second notice on April 21, 2017. Spoke to sales person on April 25, 2017 an was told that part is not in and they are waiting on the parts from manufactured. My father in law drives a Honda and had a recall on the same part from "takata" but received his part within a month or two. Not this was eight months ago. Now I'm still waiting and not having any of my family ride in the passenger seat because of the danger it imposes. It seems nothing but notice are being give with no resolution being done. Its becoming extremely frustrating. Since I cannnot drive my car with my family in the front seat is possible to get a loaner car to use.
