All the sound of the 10 speaker system comes from the dash mounted speaker!!!! If you fade to rear, the sound is nearly imperceptible. Fade all the way to the back, crank the volume to max and you can place your ear on ANY speaker in the car and it’s like someone whispering in it. Took to Lexus and was told this is normal. It’s how it was designed. The service writer showed me dozens of websites of people complaining. He took me to the new car section and we sat in 3 different ES’s. All SUCKED AS BAD! He said Lexus was aware of the problem. I contacted Lexus directly and the person I spoke with in customer relations said they never have heard of a problem and that there are no complaints in their system!!!!!!! The sound is equal to that of a 68 Ford Falcon with an AM radio and a single dash speaker. Who test drives a sound system when shopping for a car? I’ve owned other Lexus autos and the sound systems were fantastic. Not till after I bought the car did I realize the problem. Had I known, I would have NEVER bought this vehicle. Either Lexus makes this right or a lawsuit will follow.
