This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The button to start and start the vehicle is right next to the radio button. Both buttons are pushed to turn them on and off. I accidentally hit the engine start button instead of the radio button, all power to the vehicle was turned off, complete loss of power steering, brakes and engine. In order to restart I had to come to a complete stop, put the vehicle in park and then restart the vehicle, had this occurred at any speed other than the very low speed I was going, it would have likely caused a major accident. I strongly feel that this is a major safety issue and at a minimum need to have the vehicle reprogrammed to prevent it from being turned off while the vehicle is moving.
