The contact owns a 2014 baby trend hybrid 3-in-1 booster seat, model number: FB48079. The seat was manufactured on January 29, 2015 and being utilized in a 2000 Lexus ES300. While attempting to strap the child into the safety seat, the harness buckle fractured. As a result, the contact was unable to utilize the safety seat. The failure occurred inside the vehicle. The child was in the safety seat at the time of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was not available.
