The contact owns a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the front end of the vehicle was shaking with a knocking sound coming from the driver-??s and passenger-??s side front wheels. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic who diagnosed that the upper front suspension knuckle joint had fractured on the driver-??s and passenger-??s side. The mechanic informed the contact of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V840000 (Steering); and referred the contact to the manufacturer. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been made aware of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 90,000.
