Having the lane departure and driver assist function set OFF the vehicle has departed from my control seemingly at random. Being within specified boundaries on back roads and on highways. It may be extremely dangerous for those who may not have been taught how to keep control over a vehicle at all times. I never received any correspondence from the dealer or other entity that there may be any issue that had not been previously attended to, the most recent occurrence being the furthest it was able to depart to date.

One day in December i went out after it had rained. And there was condensation on the inside of the windshield inside the car. There were no windows or anything open. The next day i got in the car and the roof of the car by the sun visor and rear view mirror was dripping water. I felt up and it was soaking wet from driver side to passenger side at the top near the sun visor on both sides and near the rear view mirror. I called Land Rover they told me bring it in they will do a diagnostic test. Took it and the service guy confirmed the leaking was coming from the windshield when it rains. Said that my cpo will cover the repair. Later on that same day he calls back and told me it wouldn-??t and i would need to pay almost $2000 to get it replaced. I also noticed that my from the water dripping inside. On my sceen where the gps is it does this skipping thing here in there when in use or when i plug in my Apple car play sometimes it doesn-??t work. I feel since multiple people are complaining about this issue it should be up to handover to replace these windshields since it-??s happening to multiple people or make sure they are on correctly before selling the vehicles. Especially if they know this is a known issue why hasn-??t there been a recall yet. On top of that since there are no cracks in the windshield my insurance won-??t cover the repair either.

11/21/22 - the car had a significant amount of water on the driver-??s side floor. The windshield was leaking extensively. The headliner was saturated and the carpet in the car. The steering column was wet, and the floor mat was filled with water and frozen to the carpet. The touchscreen was not working, and the screen was completely black. Land Rover Hunt Valley confirmed the windshield leak. The headliner and carpet have been soaked and I believe water has damaged the electrical system because of the touchscreen intermittently not working. This vehicle has flood damage due to the significant water breach that occurred. The car is at risk for concealed mold and mildew. I am concerned about the long term effects water damage will have on the electrical system - electrical issues are extremely dangerous safety issues. Water damage will also cause rust and corrosion. The leaking windshield issue in Range Rover Evoque cars is a known problem to Jaguar Land Rover North America. A Technical Bulletin was issued about the problem on 11/6/18, and an After Sales Bulletin/Service Action N221 issued on 3/23/20. The leaking windshield issue is also discussed in many Range Rover Evoque online forums. There are many consumers who have leaking windshields in their Range Rover Evoques. Both the 2018 and 2020 bulletins instructed dealers -??to HOLD affected new vehicles that are within your control and refrain from releasing the vehicles for new vehicle sale pending completion of the rework action. Affected vehicles already in the hands of customers should be updated at the next available opportunity." Jaguar Land Rover North America knew about the issue with leaking windshields, and they were still building cars with the defect and having their dealers sell the cars without disclosing the issue to buyers. I would not have purchased this car if the problem was disclosed. Extensive water damage inside a car is a serious safety issue. My car has been sitting at the dealer since 11/29/22

This is a recurring problem that I have had into Land Rover service for service and in November or early December 2020. JOn the previous service, I was told the vehicle needed a software update. The problem stopped but I think it was because (as I will explain later) that the weather turned cold. The problem at that time is the same problem I am experiencing now only now the car will stall periodically. This has now happened so often that I have observed a pattern. When starting to drive the car from start up or at a stop the car will slip out of gear and I will get a beeping noise and a message that states:"Engage gear before maneuvering." Sometimes the car will stay illuminated in drive mode but really be in neutral as it will rev but not move. In those cases I will shift into park and then back into drive and the car will move again. Recently the car will act the same way only stall out requiring me to restart the car and shift it into drive mode. This seems to happen most often when it is very hot outside and the car's auto start/stop function is on. During the winter months my secondary battery would be low on power and the auto start/stop function would not engage. During those times I do not recall experiencing this issue. In fact my main battery has been very low and required a trickle charge at home. This was illustrated by my hatch not opening or the car giving me a message prior to start up that the battery was low. Of course that was never a safety issue, the problem above is. Last night my wife and I were leaving were stopped at light on a 6 lane state highway. As I came to a stop in the center lane the car suddenly started beeping the engage gear message flashed and the car stalled. I tried as quickly as possible to re-start the car and put it into gear. Several maneuvered around us. One car almost hit us from behind and at a high rate of speed by swerved around us. This is clearly a highly unsafe and potentially deadly defect.

This happens several times (more than 10) over a period of 6 months. The car randomly, while driving states "select gear to maneuver". This is VERY dangerous as the car just randomly turns off. It does not matter if it is in a middle of a turn, going fast, or coming to a stop. I did my own research, and found several other people with same make and model having this problem. https://www.rangerovers.net/threads/2020-evoque-stalling-when-coming-to-a-stop.341701/ Nobody, is helping and I cannot think of a more serious safety issue than this!. Get landrover to recall and fix this issue ASAP! This puts me and my family at risk. Along with every other motorist and pedestrian in the streets. Including school children crossing the street.

A few months ago, a message of "no fault suspension detected, drive with caution" appeared on our dash. Before then we were getting a message of low coolant. I thought this was weird because we had the car for only a little over a year. We took it to our dealer and we were told that there is nothing to worry about. We scheduled a maintenance appt to have the software updated. Also our car wouldn't start, I had to place my key fob under the steering wheel as indicated on the dash. I told the dealer this too and I was told it was a battery that needed to be changed, or we need to use both key fobs intermittently. Then yesterday, were stopped at a traffic light, the car just shut off and the wipers went on by itself. My husband started the car up and we drove off when the light turned green. We stopped at a place to pick up some food and shut the car off. Came back into the car and started it up again. No problems there. But as we drove a few miles and came to a stop light at a major intersection, the car stalled and everything shut off again. We tried to start it up again and nothing. A message came on that said forward alert not to drive over 50mph. Then a gear box showed on the dash saying something about the gear box. I can't remember because I was in so much panic with the heavy traffic. We couldn't put the car in neutral to move it out of the way. Luckily the fire truck and firefighters happened to be driving by. They were able to direct traffic until the police and the tow truck came. Our dealer here was not open over the weekend so we had to have our car towed home. It was then making a clicking noise as we tried to start it. Then all the lights on the dash went out. It felt hard to step on the brake and to move the steering wheel when we tried to start the car again.

I entered my vehicle and when I turned it on, I noticed a warning message on my dash that said 'gearbox fault detected'. I put the car in drive and it lagged a little, but I was able to drive it. I drove about two blocks from my home before the car started to rev up (the RPM gauge went up) and then slow down. I pulled to the side of the road. I then turned around to go back to my home because I didn't feel safe driving. When turning the car around, I attempted to do a three point turn. I put the car in reverse, it began to rev up again and the car stalled. I waited a few seconds and the car started to reverse. Then I put it in drive. It did the same thing...rev up and then stalled. I waited a few seconds again and then the car started to move forward. I was able to get it back to my home. I called the dealership and explained what happened. They agreed it was not safe to drive and recommended I get a tow to the dealership, which I did.
