- Summary
- ISSUE: A CUSTOMER MAY REPORT AN INTERMITTENT MESSAGE ‘HILL DESCENT CONTROL (HDC) AND STABILITY ASSIST ARE UNAVAILABLE’ DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. AFFECTS RANGE ROVER AND RANGE ROVER SPORT 16MYONWARDS. THE MESSAGE CAN APPEAR WHERE THE CUSTOMER SWITCHES THE IGNITION ON ONLY BUT DOESN’T START THE ENGINE UNTIL AFTER A PERIOD OF 32 SECONDS. THE FOLLOWING DTC WILL HAVE BEEN LOGGED: - U0140-87: ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM CONTROL MODULE (ABS) LOST COMMUNICATION WITH BODY CONTROL MODULE – MISSING MESSAGE. THE MESSAGE WILL CLEAR AT THE NEXT IGNITION CYCLE.
