This issue occurred immediately after Land Rover replace the recalled airbags with a complimentary oil change. My mechanic says the timing chain guides wear pre maturely causing knock in motor which could lead to catastrophic failure. There is an updated timing chain, however this job is 2-4K dollars to complete. The engine had an odd knocking sound but I had no indicator lights to warn me to service it or do anything. Land Rover serviced my vehicle and did warn me or make the repairs. Warranty is out. I purchased this vehicle new at over $100,000 to have engine problems after only 8 years is robbery!
