Over the past 2 weeks my Kia has stalled 3 times when restarting after being stopped to turn or at a stop sign. It would restart without an issue and then drive like it never happened. No codes or lights on the dash so I didn't bring it to the mechanic yet because he would tell me he cannot find anything and especially without any codes.
Tonight I was driving home from work on a local highway at 55 mph and the car starting making hideous sounds and smoking. I pulled over, all the lights came on the dashboard, and the car turned off. It would not turn back on. A nice police officer was able to get me a tow truck. When the town truck driver put it on the flatbed he told me it was bad news. He pointed to some liquid and debris on the road and told me it was part of my engine. The engine blew up! He told me this was a known problem with Kia engines. It is only 3 years old and has 69,000+ miles on it! I am so upset and I can only imagine Kia will do nothing for me!
