After failed first fix of fuel gauge, car ran out of gas despite saying it had 120 miles left. Wife was driving and assumed if your new $50k car says it has 120 miles left, then going 20 miles home should be fine. She was on a Express Lane at the time and Kia's tow driver called after half an hour and said they don't service Express Lanes and she needed to call the state or something. There was no number for the state. I ended up rescuing her after climbing over fences and down a steep highway embankment carrying a canister of gas.
It is May 30th now and I am still waiting for a new gauge cluster (the proposed second fix). Kia customer care has not done anything to help, address or apologize for all this.
If anything else happens, I am going to Lemon Law this vehicle as I no longer trust it.
