In January of 2024 I I took my Stinger in for a recall for the High Pressure Fuel Pump and ECM upgrade. They COMPLETED AN OIL CHANGE AND DID NOT DO THE RECALL we brought it in for. My husband reminded them why we were there and so they ended up taking it back again. We were told initially that this recall took a couple of hours to complete. However, our vehicle was "done" with the oil change at 4:18 and after the recall it was ready to go at 5:00????
In November of 2024 my vehicle was sputtering and loosing power when accelerating and the check engine light came on.. We took it in to the Local Dealership, (George Gee) an they basically they just reset the light and said it was good to go. As my husband was leaving the dealership, it came back on! He turned around went back to the service department and they actually did a code check this time, but now they are telling us that I am just outside of my Warranty and that I will need to pay $1429.10 + tax to repair. The code that came is apparently was "ecm obd code display logic improvement (sa474)" this bulletin provides the procedure to update the software logic of the Engine Control Module (ECM) system on some 2019 Stinger. That is not the issue! The issue is with the HP Fuel pump and they will not fix it although it is the part that they recalled. Never again!
