There is a knocking noise coming from my engine. I also lose power when I turn corners or when I slow down and go again. The knocking noise is not very loud but I can hear with the windows down. I took the vehicle to Kia and they stated they couldnt replicate the issue. The engine was replaced for the same issue last year (2019).
This vehicke was purchased new in March of 2014. I am the originalk owner. While making an out of town trip the vehicle had a lound knocking noise and lost power. I took the vehickle to an independent garage. The infomred me that the oil pump quit functioning and that caused the motor to throw a rod. When this occured the vehicle had 86,000 miles on it. Kia has a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty. Additionally, I purhcased an extended warranty froim the dealership that would cover the power train for 20 years and 200,000 miles. The vehicle has been delivered to a Kia delaership and so far I am hearing excuses on why they will not honor the warranty. This is despite the fact I have performed regualr oil changes with full synthetic oil since I purchased the vehicle.
