Driving home from work on Thursday 16th April, on the motorway doing around 60-65mph when the sunroof suddenly exploded all over me. Slammed my brakes on because I didn't know what was going on at the time. I pulled the car onto the emergency lay-bye and sat for a minute or two. Then I realized what happened then I phoned my wife.

We took the car to Springside garage where I bought the car from and left it with them and asked them for a courtesy car until they fixed mine. Told me it was not covered by the warranty.

I went to Crosshouse Hospital to get checked over. I had small cuts and abrasions to my head & hands. After I was examined by the doctor she said I had a minor Compact Concussion to my head from the Impact of the sunroof hitting me. The Doctor said I was fortunate that there were NO other vehicles on the road at the time or it could have been a lot more serious.. When I was at the hospital I received a call from the garage and they said as a good will gesture I could have a car until Monday morning 20th April.

Once again I asked why they did not give me a car until my car was fixed. They said I would have to put it through my Insurance to get it fixed. Autoglass were a company who repaired windscreen & sunroof damage on behalf of my Insurance company.

I did not drive the car until the Monday it was due back and I didn't feel all that well over the week/end after the Incident. Kia refused to do the repairs. I had received a call from there customer services department in London saying that they had heard of the Unfortunate Incident with the sunroof and still were doing nothing about it. OH! and on the morning of returning the car they had another car waiting for me. But by this time I had enough and took my car home....

SO MUCH FOR THEIR 7 YEAR WARRANTY... HA HA HA... Another unhappy customer. But still alive and complaining....
