The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who noticed that the rear passenger and driver's side tires tread were completely worn. The defect occurred one year after the new rear tires were mounted on the vehicle. The recent defective tires had not been replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the defect.
