overdrive won't engage. takes off in 2nd gear as well
The car suddenly did not shift up into overdrive as I was accelerating onto the interstate for my morning commute this morning. The shift selector was in "Drive" and "D" was displayed on the dash indicator. I shifted the car down to "Third" and the "3" was displayed on the dash indicator but no change in RPM. So, I was definitely not in OD (4th). I later noticed that taking off from a light was very sluggish. I discovered that it was taking off in 2nd rather than 1st gear. At lunch today, the car took off and shifted fine. I'm hesitant to have the transmission power-flushed and will be doing a trans fluid change tonight.
