Last year took Kia to the dealer. They said that they couldn't see any gas leaks, even though when the temperature outside drops below 15 degrees. I smell a strong odor of gas. Have to drive with windows open. Last year when really cold there were drips of gas in driveway; which, a few times turned into a 2 inch puddle. Another mechanic couldn't see anything. Then it warmed up and didn't act up until today.

It's 7 degrees out. Minus 15 with the wind chill factor. The smell was so strong I drove home from work with the windows open. Before I left from work at midnight, there was a 3 inch puddle of gas. When I got home there's a 12 inch puddle under my car. I'm taking car again and if they say they can't find anything, I'll have to talk to a lawyer because I flashed a flash light under the front of the car and can clearly see it dripping from about a foot from the steering wheel under the hood. From all of the complaints that I've seen. This is clearly a problem with this car and should have a recall for the fuel system.

Took car back to dealer and they found evaporative emission system full of fuel. They checked operation of system and found purge valve stuck open causing system to pull fuel into lines and components. They replaced purge valve, removed gas tank to replace canister, vent valve, canister close valve and all rubber lines due to gas saturation. After replacing parts, they performed evaporative emission test on system and found no leaks. So dealer fixed it as a warranty issue for no charge. But that's not the end of the story. The saga continues....
