Brought my Kia 2006 spectra in to an autobody for RI inspection. It needed tires and brakes which I knew was to be expected, BUT they also said that the "cradle" or Sub-Frame needed to be replaced and until that was done they could not give me a inspection sticker, due to the fact that the engine would or could fall out. So I called Kia dealer in California, on or around the end of June, 1-800 333-4542 spoke to a rep and gave me a reference number, and told me to take the car to a Kia dealer in Rhode Island. June 26, is when I drop it off, called Kia in California again on June 29 to see if they had a update, another rep told me it took 2 days to get information from the Kia dealer in RI, and then once they have the info, it would be referred to a District Manager. July 5, I have not received a phone call or e-mail so I called CA again, and the rep said the District Mgr. had been sick all day and she said that 48 to 72 hrs. is the deadline for the District Mgr. to respond and he was to contact the service manager in RI. July 6, 9:33 pm have not rec'd and information from CA or RI. The explanation why this sub-frame has to be replace is because of water which could be coming from the air conditioning. I hope someone could help me if they have this problem, I have been to Kia, with complaints but in my trying to find who to contact I forget where, I believe it was on the Kia website and I am going to find it because I am not the only one with this issue. Thanks
