Since about 80,000 miles, I've been burning oil. Not leaking just using excessive oil. I check oil once every couple weeks and usually had to add about half a quart.
Now at over 121,000 I am adding oil every week. Car has had regular maintenance since ownership through Kia dealerships. Had the 90,000 service done for about $600 and also just recently the 120,000 mile service done. At the 120,000 mile service they noticed a cracked oil pan and fixed it. No one can tell me why the car consumes so much oil.
I'm hesitant to drive too far and always carry a couple of quarts of oil with me.
