The contact owns a 2013 Kia Soul equipped with nexen CP662 tires, size: P195/65R15. While driving 60 mph, a loud noise was heard coming from the tires. The contact pulled the vehicle to the shoulder where it was discovered that the rear driver side tire blew out. The contact replaced the tire; however, the front driver side tire blew out a week later. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the tire belt failed. The tire was replaced. The tires were the original equipment. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate vehicle and tire failure mileage was 22,000.
