So I noticed early on that the gas mileage wasn't what I was expecting or had been told to expect. I keep saying "it just needs to break in a bit more" but still, after 8 months and 7000 approx miles, the gas mileage is still horrible. Yes, I drive in town a lot. But even when I am on the highway it's not great.
Then I realized something. I love this little car and it does have some attitude and I noticed I tend to drive a bit fast. Whipping around town. Now, I do have the ECO button on. And still, even when I try to behave myself and drive like a little old lady, I still am not really pleased with the mileage. My old sedan, w/ the 6 cylinder, was about the same! So, I am still hoping, as I continue to break it in, that this does improve. I am not totally discouraged by it in any way. I LOVE MY KIA SOUL!.
I got the Kia Soul that has the lousy gas mileage, in Minnesota in the winter, I get 20 MPG and it only has a 12 gallon tank so I am filing it sometimes twice a week-what a nightmare!
The MPG for my 2013 Kia Soul + is horrible! I live in the suburbs and only getting about 22 mpg in mixed driving. There are full size cars that get much better mileage ! This car is supposed to be an economy car, not a gas hog performancce car ! Very dissapointing, but otherwise the car has been fine.
