We have KIA Soul 2012, 100 876 km. We just finished our answers to a survey about my vehicle. After being brought to KIA Service Centre on Bank Street on April 6th, it has not yet been returned to me. The vehicle is still on service with, as it was discovered, metal particles inside the engine. We got a new vehicle with 5-year warranty +3 years extended warranty and the services were performed right on time during this entire time. I now tend to think that Kia's quality is far from reliable. We have had other issues in the past, which for those interested in this case can certainly get information from your internal records..
We have been waiting for 9 days now.. It is upsetting that myself or my wife needed to call Kia Service or Kia Protect to ask them to cover for the rental vehicle. It is upsetting that starting from today I will have to pay from my own pocket for renting a vehicle that I am forced to drive as Kia Protect refused cover for the entire term. Yet we are not sure when we will have our vehicle fixed. It is upsetting to realize that there were so many days wasted (deliberately or not due to Easter holidays) as I continue not driving my car.
We were planning to lease 2 vehicles for my daughter and my spouse. However with this current experience we doubt this is going to be the decision. We have started looking into other vehicle makes/brands as well as their service plans. Rather confused or even negative emotions arise when I am asked by friends and other colleagues about this experience. I certainly have nothing positive to share with them. I would rather advise them not to choose Kia products or their service plans (as things tend to break the day after stated warranty term expires.. ) Not sure if this feedback will be actually be read by anybody, but I would appreciate if someone can call and reassure me that Kia cares...
Thank you,
Rasul M.
