I took delivery of this car 11/22/10, and noticed a vibration when the brakes were applied. I mentioned this, and was told by salesman " The Souls are built on a truck frame and that's why the ride is a little rough". I returned to the dealership in Feb. 2011 for my first Oil change. I again mentioned the vibration and was told " the vibration was normal due to the ABS. I again went to the dealer due to the vibration, there were grooves were starting to form on my rear brake rotors and my gas mileage was not what I expected ( 26.5 highway and 17.4 in town) I was told "the brakes showing grooves are normal and the low gas mileage was caused by you not driving it correctly". Over the next 4 1/2 years I returned to the dealership for scheduled oil changes and other needed services. Each time I mentioned the grooves in the rotors, the vibration (that now could be felt by the passengers ) and the poor mileage and again I was told " the groves are normal wear, the vibration is the ABS brakes , and the bad mileage was because you are not driving it correctly". I was given the same explanation as I had been each time I pointed it out.
Then on September 4, 2015 when the car was taken in for service the service manager told me the brakes were in need of of replacement and gave me an estimate of $600 + I attempted to explain to him what I had been told over the last 41/2 years. He then told me that " it is your own fault because the car is 5 years old and only has 12,517 miles on it" I declined to have them do any more work on the car. I took it to an independent mechanic who replaced all of the brakes and rotors. While doing working on it he found that the back ones were both stuck on the rotors and the front ones were stuck on the inside.

My conclusion is that the brakes were dragging the entire time I have has it and the dealership did not offer any type of repair while it was on warranty, even though there was an issue from the get go.
