Had the car about three weeks. Steering sticks at high way speed, especially when turning to the left. Not as noticeable around town. Had an alignment which did nothing to help. Then, had the 4wd coupler replaced. Did not fix the problem. I'm going back for a third time to the dealer and hoping to get it fixed. It is miserable to drive the car; always over correcting, steering sticks and does not hold a smooth line. I see many other people with this same problem. The dealer 'can't feel it'. But I can!
This power steering issue started after 4 years and the light is a steering wheel with an exclamation point then the steering gets so hard you cannot turn it. I have to pull over all times of the night to cut the truck off and back on to reset t then it will drive like normal and I do not have a warranty.
Have To Put Screw Driver Into Shift Lock Release To Get Vehicle To Shift Gears. Have not fixed because engine failure took priority.

Very difficult to steer on a highway. I’ve recently traveled to Michigan and back and it’s hard to keep it on the road. The steering sticks and locks into position while driving over 60 and shakes as you pass large trucks - it’s ridiculous. I’m at the dealer now having it checked and told them I found this problem to be not only with my car but a lot of complaints and that one person had there steering Column replaced. The dealer told me that they have to fight with Kia to get the steering replace - well I’m going to fight with Kia.

Update from Sep 18, 2020: My husbands family owns 3 Sorento different model years and none of them do this.
This is a very scary situation. No matter what speed I’m driving the steering wheel starts to stick, like it’s locked in one place. I slightly turn the wheels to the right and it makes a clicking sound and un-sticks for a short period. It intensives when I’m driving on the highway at 60-65 miles. The Dealership has had my car four times now. Twice for two and a half days. They’ve done a reprogramming of the system, the first time. The second time they reset the torque, they reassured me there have not been any recalls by the KIA company, but some cars have come back with the same problems as mine.
As of March 1st, 2019, the dealership got permission from KIA to order a $1000 part, for my car, that should solve the problem. The dealership will contact me when it comes in, so I can take my car back in for the 5th time. KIA does not provide a rental car, so I’m without a vehicle every time, which creates problems with not being able to make Doctor appointment and meet other obligations. It seems the Kia corporation is in NO big hurry to connect with the Dealership about fixing the situation to the problem.
