Window shattered on the tailgate of my 2014 Sorrento while the car was parked un-occupied in my drive way. The car was brand new, only (36) miles on it and the window was obviously defective.
I called the dealer and the service writer told me that it was not covered under the warranty. I told him that the window exploded with out any apparent reason. He told me that windows do not explode and offered to repair the window for a price.
I told him that this one did and that the internet forums are loaded with exploding rear car window accounts. He told me that I should not believe what I read on the net, that windows do not explode on their own.
I told him that this was bullshit and called an auto window repair Co. They told me that they could not get the needed window and that it was only a dealer item only at this point.
I am screwed for now, but I will seen them in small claims court!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
