My wife has a 2014 Sorento. For some reason, the headlights are very dim. I know they were poor to begin with, but it's even worse and quite dangerous. The engine was just replaced as well. I have driven Hyundai and Kia vehicles mostly for the last 20 years, but this model year has a lot of issues.
I have had this low beam headlight problem ever since I bought the car. You cannot see far enough ahead at night with low beam headlights on. It’s very dangerous. No problem with high beams but if you leave them on you blind oncoming traffic. I replaced low beam bulbs with new led bulbs but it did not seem to make a difference. Even had dealer adjust beams up but that didn’t help either. Out of warranty at this point and I just feel kia has a bad product regarding the lighting situation. I would not buy this car again because of this issue. Otherwise the car is ok. I doubt really that there is a fix for this other than an expensive conversion kit which I refuse to pay. So just stuck with a lighting lemon like many others that have had this same problem. Bad on kia for not addressing this issue and finding a fix. It’s dangerous.
