Drivers LED daytime or running lights started blinking. Within 2 days, the drivers side stopped working. A week later the passenger side started blinking and went out a day later. I checked all fuses. Could not figure out what went wrong.
Called the Dealer for warranty and was told only covered to 36000 miles. Per dealer/manufacture only solution is to replace headlamp assembly at $814.67 per side or $1629.34 for parts only. Dealer charges another $160.00 to install. For LED running lights. This is crazy.... There has to be a fix. I've never seen LED lights cost so much. LED lamps last at least 5 times longer than regular lamps.
My 1156a lamps at the front of my Sorento got replaced at 78000 miles. Only 1 was bad then. Replaced both for $3.79. Who has $1600 dollars to replace running lights?
