Cannot read speedometer in bright sunlight...have to take eyes off road too frequently for too long to find it. Instrument lighting changes automatically depending on amount of light in car...have illumination set at highest and have tried various headlight settings to no avail. Dealer service says they have had no previous complaints but will check with a Kia rep. and only solution they know of so far is illumination setting that already is set to max. I do not wear sunglasses so that is not a problem and on very cloudy days or in the garage the illumination is ok....this is definitely a safety concern and should have been reported many times over unless my car has been wired incorrectly. My 2012 worked great but this will be my last Kia unless they fix it soon. I have only had car for 2 weeks, test drove on a cloudy day and picked it up when snowing....so it was not a sunny day to foresee problem.
