CarComplaints.com Notes: As long as catastrophic engine failure at under 60,000 miles is the top owner complaint, it'll be pretty hard to recommend the 2012 Sorento.
As she was getting off at an exit - the young lady driving this 2012 Kia Sorento saw the check engine light come on. Then she smelled gasoline and saw smoke. Pulled off to the shoulder of the road and barely got her children out of the vehicle just before the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames. 204,xxx miles on the vehicle. Recently had the engine replaced. I've had multiple electrical issues with Kia Sorentos (I own 5). Mostly headlights and tail lights. This issue totalled the car.
