Back on June 2016 took my Sorento to my local Kia dealer get inspected also I mentioned to the service manager that the engine was making noises.
The vehicle was inspected (emissions and state inspection) did passed and I was told that the engine noise was normal for a four cylinder ..
Last week the noise is gotten loud and called Kia made an appointment .
On 11/23/16 I took the vehicle to Kia and they told me it is something wrong with the engine and they needed to contact the third party extended warranty company and I will be responsible for the charges if the warranty company denied the claim.
After reading all the complaints on a ongoing issues with the engines and experiences other KIA owners dealing with the extended warranty companies , I am very reluctant to let them tear the engine and get stuck with the bill and vehicle rental charges.
We purchased this vehicle used from Kia and certified by them with bumper to bumper warranty. It seems to me all these is a SCAM. The extended warranty company will denied the claim they will find something on the engine and blame it on you, they will say because you didn't do the schedules oil changes with KIA or you did you own oil changes and the warranty was voided because of it.
