CarComplaints.com Notes: Kia really changed the design of the Sorento in the 2011 model year. Instead of a truck-like body-on-frame more capable of offroad adventures, the newest Sorento is a unibody construction and is much more crossover than sport utility. The changes brought a whole slew of problems, including a frustrating problem where the door that won’t open. Is it too late to go back?

Could not use the Bluetooth, no sound from the radio whatsoever. Was told it would have to be taken apart and the wire harness checked "mam it may not be a covered option under the warranty, you know like if a squirrel or something ate through your wiring"... The likelihood of that was slim to none but I'm not paying for anything. Not labor, parts, nothing until you show me where they would have been chewed through.... if there were squirrels in my garage we would have known it... strike 1 on Kia dealer...

Replaced 2 door handles on 2 different occasions. Just had the car to a different Kia dealer this time, to have the gear shift recall fixed (that they failed to notify me about.. ..thank you carfax for that notification) and never said a word about recalls on the door handles... they ordered me the Kia parts, I someone else to do the repairs and when it happened the second time, then they tell me about the recall again after I paid to have the same handle in the back (single person no kids) fixed again... I called Kia.. they sent paperwork to fill out I sent it all back in never heard a word from them... 2.seems to be their number cause that was sent in twice also...

The car is now in salvage cemetery due to an at fault family member who ran a red light, otherwise it was still driving great at 157,000 miles...

(Struts were the biggest out of pocket expense besides tires and regular maintenance)..... Ioved my Kia

I love my 2011 Kia Sorento, but a few problems I have, one is my radio just stopped working. I check the fuse and it was good, and when I start it up in the morning, the radio comes on for about 5 mins, then it's cuts off and stays off. I check on the recall list and nothing about it but have seen many people bitching about it. I look in to replacing it, they want $129 and up to $350. I am not a car person so I have no idea how to do it - I also look at some videos how to change your radio, and I know if I try it I will be breaking the guards around it. I think that this bad for Kia, and they knew or do now that their factory radio suck and don't last too long
