So I bought this car on Craigslist and tried to have it inspected. Won"t pass inspection and guy I bought it from forged signature of previous owner on bill of sale and is mia SO I'm stuck with it.
The car itself looks good. Interior nice, engine strong, tranny ok but the underside is completely rusted. One of the rear control arms has rusted to the point it is no longer connected and the other one is close to detaching. The entire underside is rusted. My mechanic just shook his head and said don't bother. Axles are leaking from rust too.
One welding repair shop told me it would cost $3800 to fix it. That's more than Kelly blue book rates the cars value!!
