Air conditioner needed to be replaced and later led to having more problems with NO HEAT. I had the pump replaced and paid $650. From what I can see there are a lot of issues like this and Kia will not recall. This problem leads to more problems and eventually a new motor. Worst vehicle I have ever owned.
AUGUST OF 2012 had air conditioner replaced ( Kia suggested to install off market part that it was just as good as their part, so I agreed, OK). I WENT ON TRIP TO NORTH CAROLINA on the way back air conditioner stop working. I RETURN TO WHERE WORK WAS DONE, KIA IN HILLSIDE NEWARK NJ. THEY ACKNOWLEDGE PROBLEM stated they would replace with new air compressor/air conditioner OK. .. NOW IN AUGUST OF 2014 same problem, air conditioner stop working ... WENT TO KIA TO ASK THEM TO REPAIR, being that we have spent a lot of money on repairs since purchasing ( brand new in 2006 ) ... WE WENT TO KIA CORPORATE asked for repairs under goodwill policy, they responded none favorable... SO STILL NEED AIR CONDITIONER REPLACED.
