This is a separate complaint but it still is linked to another complaint I made about the fuel spilling out of the gas tank when I was trying to fill it. And it took me a while to put these two things all together. I now have the problem that I lose power...no gas...when I start to reach the speed of 35 to 40 MPH. It happened to me on the freeway a couple of times...randomly...My car would shut down when I was trying to pass. I was fortunate enough to get off the freeway. The first time this happened I had it towed to my mechanic who could find nothing wrong with the car. It happened two more times, months apart and I was able to limp home at 25 to 30 MPH. It happened again driving around town just three days ago. Again, I took it to my mechanic. He couldn't find a problem. So...here I am complaining after I checked out the Issues and complaints of the 2003 Kia Sorento. I love my Kia and up until now I have had no major problems. I am the original owner. Sadly it seems my days of driving her are now over. No one seems to know how to fix the problem...at least from what all I have read. I will continue my search. Any ideas/solutions are welcomed. It is dangerous and very unpredictable.
