This 3rd time engine lights, I went to Kia dealer, got it fix and got proof if you help solve this problem. If you look at my receipts you believe how many times I went back for this car. The car has been stalling and starting funny. This car is not running properly. The first time with car would stalling wouldn't go up hill and the engine light come on. The second time car stalled again and caught on fire and went up in smoke. The mechanic said it was the wiring need to be replaced and that the car was running on one vaul. That everything in that section has been burn. And after that the car wouldn't start or say a word. And I was in the middle of the street when it happen. How can 1999 be so much trouble. The third time engine light comes on again. What is it this time. Please this car is harzard it been trouble that day I brought it. Please contact me or fax or email. Anything for advice.
This car has been, nonstop, 1 mech problem after another with Kia co & manuf claiming 'normal wear/tear or first heard of problems.' Your site shows that other consumers of same vehicle have all experienced same problems (esp brakes, battery, tires, steering column, fuel assembly). Kia & dealership unresponsive and unaccountable for products sold and represented- esp. Highly dangerous vehicle problems/defects. (dot number: 96737 tiresize: P185/65R14)

Vehicle experiencing ongoing / intermittent problem with hesitation / lack of acceleration/ stalling.vehicle had been to two different dealer shops on several occasions, and problem still reoccurring. Feel free to provide further details.
Recall 99V318 000/engine stalling: Recall notice received and taken to dealer for repairs. Repairs were done. Vehicle was taken back on several occasions, and problem still occurring. Also vehicle was involved in an accident because of this defect. Asking NHTSA help in this matter.
Recalls 99V271 000/windshield wiper linkage and 99V318 000/engine stalling. Both recall notices were received by consumer, and was unable to get dealer to honor recalls. Was informed by dealer that they were placed on a waiting list, and will be contacted when their names come up. Contacted dealer on several other occasions, and now they misplaced the list. Seeking help from NHTSA in this matter.
Consumer was traveling 55mph, and upon approaching the toll booth, vehicle just cut off. Vehicle had to be towed. Dealership stated that the engine parts were no good, and the engine caught on fire.
NHTSA recall 99V318000 and manufacturer's recall 99V318000/ engine stalling. Not able to do the recall repairs because they are waiting on carpet to come in. On entire inside of vehicle the carpet is coming undone.
Recall # 99V318000 Kia/engine stalling (304/C305) consumer has contacted dealerhip every week since December 29, 1999. Consumer was not able to set up an appointment to service vehicle because no parts were availble. Consumer was told that parts should be available by March, 2000.
Received notice #99V31800. Contacted dealership. Day before appointment was informed by dealer no parts available. Do not know when parts would become available. Contacted mfg & given same information as dealership.
