Purchased the 2021 Kia Seltos in Dec 2020, I've heard knocking in the engine a various times.. but nothing alarming. Then about 6 months ago, a steady engine light came on, I took it in to have the oil changed and was told the car was burning more oil then normal.. like I was down a quart or 2 before 4000 miles... Last month, a steady engine light came on again, this time I added oil.. I ended up having to add almost 4 quarts of oil to hold me over until I could get the oil changed... I had approx 1000 more miles until I was actually due for an oil change. Then on Nov 11th, I noticed the engine light blinking... I did some research and realized I had to get it to a deal asap. Once I got it into the dealer, I was told I would have to have to engine completely replaced.
After doing more research, I really hope this fixes the issue.. but I am paying for a car that I cant drive for the next month an a half.. (according to the dealer, Ill be lucky to get my car back by new years)
