The contact owns a 2015 Kia Sedona. The contact previously received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V338000 (Structure, Electrical System). The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was informed that the passenger-??s side door would be repaired but not the driver-??s side door. After the repair, the contact stated that the driver-??s side sliding door failed to latch as the driver-??s side sliding door indicator warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the ABS warning light was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle back to the dealer where he was informed that the braking system was operating as needed; however, a faulty sensor had caused the warning light to illuminate. The dealer acknowledged the failure with the sliding door; however, the dealer informed him that parts for the repair were not available. Recently, the contact was made aware of an article about a recall on KIA vehicles with a risk of catching fire due to defective wiring in the ABS module. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.
