This rattle has been happening since I purchased the vehicle, which I love, (just saying)! I finaly found that its caused by the second row seatbelts on the right and left side. They are too slack and therefore every time you hit a bump they rattle against the van side! I've asked Kia to tighten it....but they told me that the are automatic pre-tensioned so they can't. Now, I just put the seat belt around the armrest on each side! NO MORE RATTLE! I'm going to call Kia corporate because I've heard many complaints by reviewers on a mysterious rattle. So simple to fix.....yet so annoying to live with!

I began hearing a rattle coming from the rear of the Sedona a few days after buying the van at the dealership. I could only hear it while going over bumps or something like a bumpy road. The noise isn't super loud, but it/s just loud enough to be super annoying while driving. I double checked to make sure all of the seats were secure, made sure that there wasn't any loose cargo and made sure that it wasn't a seat belt buckle rattling against an interior panel.

I took it into the dealership (which they have had for over 2 weeks now) and they said that they can definitely hear the noise and they used a chassis ear and located the noise to be somewhere around the rear axle/trailing arm/knuckle area but they cannot figure out what is causing the noise. District managers for Kia has come to the dealership to also investigate. The latest Kia representative told me that the noise that I am hearing is normal and that I am going to have to deal with it. I am refusing to pick up the van until this is addressed, given a brand new van, or given a full refund. This is my first Kia and I am not impressed so far. The dealership also took out a brand new Kia Sedona that they had just got off the trailer and they said that they drove it and the noise is present in that vehicle as well, so it sounds like there is a design flaw somewhere with this new design if it is happening to more than just my vehicle.
