Right passenger slide door on minivan opened while my son was in the car and would not close. There is a recall on this and extended 15 year warranty but Kia wouldn-??t honor the electronic controller that burnt out but warranted the motor. Passenger can fall out or something can hurt them. Kia dealer confirmed this and I had to pay a large repair bill for there recall defect. I am afraid to take the car anywhere except local. I feel there recall repair caused this problem. First I took it in for the recall. Next time I used that door it got stuck open. Vehicle is garaged with approximately 30,000 miles on it.
The contact owns a 2011 Kia Sedona. While driving 60 mph, all the doors on the vehicle inadvertently opened. The contact stated that the door audible indicator was heard frequently while driving and when the failure occurred. The contact called planet Kia at (570) 382-3297 (3007 scranton carbondale hwy, blakely, pa 18447) and was advised to schedule an appointment for diagnostic testing and repairs. The contact had not scheduled the appointment. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 14,703.
All 4 doors on my Kia Sedona are now not opening from the outside. They stick really bad and it feels as if I pull any harder that that he handles will break off. I have 101K miles on the car so it is outside of its warranty. After looking online, this seems to be a huge issue with Kia's made around this same time. This is a huge safety concern because it is prohibiting me from entering or exiting the car and posses serious issues with safety of a child in the car
First passenger sliding door would not close that was the first time about a year ago we had to fix ourselves now drivers side door will not stay closed this one just happened a month ago.
