The rear passenger power door went out. A couple days later the rear drivers power door and the lock on the hatch quit working. The doors will pop open while driving.I I called the Kia dealership and they are unaware of the problem but offered me financing to repair the problem. I told them there is complaint after complaint online dealing with the same issue! customers have replaced motors, have had electric replaced, replaced sliding door mechanisms and even replaced the computer and are still having the same issues!!!!!! I am livid!!!so I have no choice but to pay them to fix it because I've called around and all the repair shops told me they will not touch it. Problem is that the doors do not stay shut!! I cannot put my children in the car because the doors open while driving. The doors will not lock period!!! even parked and locked you can walk up to the door and put no effort into opening the door!!! I bought the Kia used in June of 2013 and still owe almost 10 thousand dollars and Kia is not willing to pay for the repair....I will never ever buy another Kia!!!!!!

While driving down the freeway at 65 mph, the driver's side sliding door opened up while my 8 month old grand-daughter was in the seat next to the opened door, thankfully secured in her car seat. I am surprised to see that no recall has been issued for this after reading so many other complaints of this exact incident!

The drivers side automatic door doesn't open at all now when you push the button inside. It acts like it is catching on something so it doesn't open. If you pull the handle, outside, it sometimes will finish opening or closing by itself. But you have to give it that pull to get it past the catching point. You never know if it will run automatically or if you have to manually pull the door open, its like it shuts off or on. If you have to open it manually inside, you really have to push against the door hard to open it up. When you pull it manually it pulls easier, outside, than if you had the auto turned off. But we don't have the problem with it popping open while driving. Just pops out of the latch sometimes when it does auto close and it beeps and lets you know the door isn't completely closed. Just started having the passenger side starting to catch a little bit now, but it does completely run automatically once you give it a little help. Haven't taken it in because the warranty is done and cant afford to pay possibly hundreds to fix it.

2007 Kia Sedona [xxx]normal vehicle usage. While driving the passenger side power sliding door will open without operator interaction, resulting in an unsafe condition. Typically the power siding door is closed using one of two power buttons, first in overhead console for driver the second is located next to the passenger on the body frame. Without notice the door will open while driving down the road. Occasionally the non-latched door warning will light up followed by the warning ell and then the door is open. The power button is disabled to allow the door to be closed manually and the same scenario will occur. Vehicle taken to dealership for repair, indicating that didn't have correct parts, and need to order. Must still operate vehicle in this condition. Similar incident within the past year with door on other side of vehicle, don't recall exact date or fix performed by dealership. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
