Dealership was doing an alignment on the front wheels,, mechanic called saying," he needed the car another day, because he couldn't get the steering wheel off." When my wife picked up her van they the ignition lock got broke and they wanted $500.00 plus to replace it...
I talked to the mechanic supervisor, dealership's service manager, and the dealership manager. Told all of the above people that you don't take the steering wheel off to do an alignment. Service Manager, said, "It was a older vehicle, and broke because of age"...and stated that he would only talk to my wife, because it was her car. The Dealership Manager could care less.
KIA hired a mechanic to work on my wife vehicle who didn't know basic mechanic skills, followed by everyone in the dealership covering for him. So you if can't trust the dealership, you probably shouldn't trust the KIA Company.
The vehicle has been kept in a garage its whole life and still has under 33,000 miles on it. My wife is thinking about getting a new vehicle, can you guess which brand we WON"T be buying?
