I have received a safety recall notice from Kia motors America, Inc dated August 29, 2005, notifying me that my 2004 Kia Sedona requires immediate service at no cost to modify a protective sleeve around the throttle cable. I have contacted nationwide Kia, the dealership where I purchased the vehicle (see contact information below), without a response to date. When the vehicle is cold the accelerator pedal will not go down. Vehicle has to warm up before the accelerator pedal will operate normally. Owner was informed that the accelerator throttle cable needed to be replaced. Dealer replaced the cable, and the vehicle was operating normally. The consumer stated that the gas pedal stuck and the vehilce reached 90 mph.
