Hello . My wife bought a 2014 Kia Rondo (updated design) . It was a decent car car until about 80 to 90 thousand km. Then all of a sudden it started blowing through oil . We took it in to get an oil change and a week later I heard a tick coming from her engine . So I check it and it was 4 liters down. Wow I said the guys didn't top it up . So I went to the oil change place and proceeded to let them know in a Stern way . Well a week or so later I had to go back and apologize to them because it did it again.
With all said, I realized we have an engine problem. I went through the proper procedure in trying to diagnose what may be the problem didn't really want to jump to piston rings . The car only had 80.000 plus km on it so shouldn't be that . I changed the vent(pcv) valve on the engine 30 some bucks no biggie. Well that didn't do it . So here we are, we informed Kia of the problem and they wanted a 140 plus for a oil change and then they have to do an oil test and that costs more money . Then I said to them after your tests and you find out the motors faulty what are you guys going to do and the response is nothing. I said if this thing dies at an intersection or on the highway and gets in an accident and someone gets hurt or forbid dies . There was no response for that question.
Kia needs to step up and do the right thing like there doing in the states recall those faulty 2.0 engines . So with that said until there's more injuries or deaths things just don't happen. I think we have learned a lesson buying a brand new car from these guys. If you want repeat business make a decent and reliable car. My wife payed over 30.000 in 2014 and for that type of car was a lot of money then, never again !
