cost of replacing engine with another (60,000 miles) considered but rejected. cost of replacement engine ($2800) and hoses/belts ($300) and labor (10 hrs book $900-1300); total costs ($4400) more than value of car (fair condition ($2000). got $300 for it at scrap yard!!!
