Thought it was needing an alignment. Had that done. No change.
Also got new shocks and struts. No change.
New tires, brake job, with new rotors, no change.
Suspected bent rim. Tires rotated and balanced. No change.
Took to a suspension repair shop. Mechanic said the car was fine.
A few weeks later I took it to another mechanic. He couldn't find any problem. I ask him what he actually checked. He said "Nothing, because it passed the road test" so he didn't look any further.
Now there is a vibration as well as the wobbling/rolling. My husband feels it too and suggested it might be the CV axle or a wheel bearing. I've had it at four different auto shops now. They simply will not put the car up on a rack and look at it. I may have to hold someone at gun point and hand them a check list because dropping the car off for diagnostics is not working.
What about the ESC system?
I love my Rondo. and I'm not ready to part with it just because it's getting older. I try to take good care of it. I buy the best parts. It still runs great except for this current problem.. But I'm running out of ideas. I live in California, so when the big quake comes, I've got to be ready to roll out of here. LOL.
