Starting from the FIRST time I had the car in for service because the SES light came on. Random misfires on cylinders 1 and 2. Initially told I needed to have an oil change, did that, light on. Found a crack on cylinder one and rebuilt.
Update from Mar 7, 2015: This is actually the THIRD time I had it in for service.
This is the SIXTH time I have had it in for service because the SES light comes on. Am going to post the others as well. The code is random misfires on cylinders 1 and 2. Each time they say they have fixed it. This time they put Dielectric Stabilant on the coil connections. Warranty ends next December and as this only happens in really cold weather, I'll be out of luck!
FOURTH time in for service for the SES light coming on. Random misfires on cylinders 1 and 2. Recommended that I change spark plugs...did that. They also replaced the coil on #1.
This is the FIFTH time I have had this car in for service because the SES light comes on. Random misfires on cylinders 1 and 2. This time they said there was carbon on the injectors and cleaned them. I use good gas. Was told to put an additive in with every fourth tank of gas.
SECOND time in for service for the SES light coming on. Random misfires on cylinders 1 and 2. KIA wouldn't do anything until I had an oil change and had "official" KIA oil filter. So had the oil change done.
