The dealership here in Bermuda is called Bermuda Motors. They had me going back-and-forth to the garage for 18 months so that they could try and fix my car. They made 5 attempts to correct the problem. In the end they admitted that they couldn't fix the problem. They wanted me to continue allowing them to try and fix the problem but I told them no and I wanted a new car or refund. It wasn't until I told them I was going to expose them in the media that they offered me a new vehicle. When we accepted their offer (orally) they did not mention that they wanted me to sign a non-disclosure agreement. They came back 2 days later and told the consumer affairs representing me that I need to sign it in order to get the new car. I knew that this was their way of keeping me from speaking to the media about the bad customer experience I had with them.
I still have the my original vehicle because I refused to sign their agreement that included the non-disclosure clauses. Consumers should have to sign a non-disclosure agreement to get a refund on a car that has a defect. These people have some very unethical business practices. I wish Kia Motors would revoke their exclusive rights to sell their cars here because they are giving them a very bad name. They are the only ones licensed to sell Kia vehicles in Bermuda.
