CarComplaints.com Notes: The only reason we don't give the 2008 Kia Rio our top award is because of poor side & rear crash test ratings.

Had this car for about a year with no problems and then had the drivers side wheel bearing go south. Had both inner and outer hubs replaced and 3 months later had the same issue. Spent another $350 to have the same wheel bearings replaced and that set lasted 3 weeks before needing it replaced again. I am not sure whats up with it. It has now been 2 weeks since the last replacement and have a weird vibration in my steeringwheel when reaching sppeds of 50 and above gradually getting worse at higher speeds. Also the car has now taken to switching gears at higher RPM's, instead of switching gears around the normal 3500 to 4500 RPM's it wont change gears until about 5000 to 5700 RPM's and randomly occasionally slips between 4th and 5th gear then violently grabs again. It only does this on the freeway going between 50mph and 70mph. I am open to any ideas seeing that this problem has still yet to be resolved. I will update this complaint if or when i ever actually get an answer or find the solution.
